QUICK TRICK
Take the amount in Lire, remove three 0 and divide by 2
Take the amount in Dollars, double it and make it Thousands.

There are two kinds of 100 lire coins. Consider that a lot of automatic machines won't accept the smallest abd newest coins yet.
There are two kinds of 1000 lire: coins and paper.
Be aware that 1000 lire coins is similar to 500 lire ones. Differences are: 1000 is bigger than 500 lire. 1000 is silver with gold ring outside. 500 lire is gold with silver ring outside.
