Who's this?

That’s a good question! Well, the picture on the side shows my best version, although most of the time I might not look exactly like that; especially when I don’t shave, tan and pose like I’m about to set the camera on fire! Hahaha.
Credit to the photographer, Silvana Sapino, for the good job done.

Also, thanks to my parents, or I certainly would not be either in the picture nor here typing!

Ok, if you really want to know the whole story, I guess we can start from 1971, when, at the age of 4, I was blissfully enjoying life on Italian beaches, planning a career in constructions, and, as you can see, wearing expensive fashion designer clothes. (If you have not realized by now that I’m joking, then you should consider switching to a more conservative site).
At that time, life at home revolved simply around a few major concerns which were prioritized in this exact order: Fun, Food, and Sleep.
Fun was easy, Food not a worry and Sleep a wonderful trip into fantasy.

Robert A. Rossi

As life went on, fun started becoming affected by consequences, often called “trouble”, but still food and sleep were left untouched privileges of childhood. Trouble expressed itself mostly in school; the impact of “the monstress” on the lives of a bunch of 3rd graders was going to leave permanent marks in the personalities of each of them. (Since the damage has been done, and I do not intend to add more frustration to it, by being sued by “the monstress” , any further information about her will be limited; only name, address, telephone number, full size target picture, career description, list of pressed charges and latest development will be released to those interested. Click on “The monstress” to request such data.)

Well, that was a good start, but the chronological order may not be the best way to tell a story, so, let’s skip ahead a few (few?) years and let’s talk about the latest developments; I’ll fill in the details later.
After graduating in Electronics and Computer Science from a technical h.s. in Italy, in 1985/86 I participated in a foreign exchange program and came to the US for almost 1 year. After a few initial adjustments, I ended up in Houston, Texas, went to Lamar High School as a senior and returned to my native country at the end of the summer 1986. What happened that year is also something that would take a while to tell.
The most exciting and challenging summer ever was about to start when, in the spring of 1987, I decided to apply for a job in a tourist resort in Greece. Have you seen “Dirty dancing”? Well, that describes those months much better that a whole page of words. Ask Silvana if you don’t believe me! Sadly, summer ended, and I was back in Como.
If anyone asked me when the “dark ages” started, I would answer: fall 1987. Getting employed as a Computer teacher, in the same high school where only a few years earlier I graduated, turned out to be a soul poisoning experience. The convenience of a secure job could not overcome the disgust arising from such a nauseating environment. Unmentionable figures resembling grotesque characters out of a medieval B-movie milling around the corridors, screaming monsters blasting flames from their obscene mouths, deform gnomes and ratty-haired witches were governing this chaotic world formerly meant for education.

Thousands of puppy-monsters were formed and raised to the image of their scary mentors during those years, some got lost along the path, some actually learned the way out of the tortuous maze and reached the point of getting a real life.
Having had enough of all that, in 1996 I decided to come back to the U.S.A. for a vacation, and later on to begin college here in Houston. I Have just graduated with an Associate Degree in Computer Networking at Houston Community College, and I'm working as well as a part-time lab aide.
I think this is it for now; I will add more “juice” to this page when I’m inspired...
